Are your products handmade?

Yes! All of our jewellery is handcrafted to order in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This handcrafted nature will make each piece be slightly unique from the other.

This also means that we’ll need around 3-5 days to craft pieces from the catalogue and 14-21 days for a custom piece. Do e-mail us if you need yours for a certain date, and we’ll see what options we have to help!

What makes your pieces special?

We love mixing materials! Anything goes from plastic charms, acrylic beads and pendants, to freshwater pearls and beautiful glass beads. It’s all about incorporating cheap and exclusive materials to create the fun UglyBijoux pieces that you’d love to wear and love more to show off xixi 

Can you remake a limited edition piece again?

Unfortunately, due to the limited quantity of our materials, once a limited-edition item is sold out, it’s sold out. But anything’s possible in the future, so stay tuned!

Shipping & Packaging

Do you ship outside of Indonesia?

Yes, we do! Due to logistical limitations, we currently only take international orders manually via DM or e-mail. Simply let us know which piece and the size you want it in, we’ll then send you an order recap with our payment details. 

You can expect to pay between USD 20 – USD 40 for standard shipping (5-7 days). All international orders are served in USD or EUR. 

Is it possible to gift-wrap my purchase?

Your order will come hand-packed and wrapped in one of our giftable pink boxes or velvet pouches.

You can also slip a handwritten note on our specially designed greeting card, simply add your message on the order notes. 



My piece arrived but the size doesn’t fit me well, what can I do?

You have 7 (seven) days upon receiving your piece to request an exchange. Please check our shipping & return policy or contact us through DM or e-mail for details.

My jewellery breaks, can I return it?

Our products go through rigorous quality control to make sure that they’re in their very best condition. In the unlikely occurrence that your piece breaks due to poor quality, we offer a free reparation service for up to 1 year after you receive your purchase (a receipt or proof is required). We do not cover shipping fees on this free repair service.

However, please note that all sales are final and all purchased pieces are non-refundable. In any case, hit our DM or e-mail us at and we’ll help you out! 

How much is shipping?

We ship from Yogyakarta, Indonesia and you can expect to pay around IDR15k for standard shipping within Java and 35k to the other islands. International shipping will cost around USD 20 – USD 40. The shipping cost will be calculated after purchase. Free standard domestic shipping is offered on all orders over IDR 400.000 and free international shipping for orders above USD 400. 

How long ‘till my package arrives from the minute I order?

Here’s how your purchase goes: Order in > Processing > Shipping.

Processing includes the crafting of your piece takes around 3-5 days for non-custom pieces or 14-21 days for custom pieces. 

As for shipping, you can choose between these two: Standard or Priority;

  • Standard shipping service: 3-5 days
  • Priority shipping service: 1-3 days

International packages will take around 5 to 7 work days to arrive depending on the destination. 

We’re not liable for packages once they are shipped out. However, feel free to e-mail us at for assistance, and we’ll help you find a solution!

Can I change my delivery address?

Please e-mail us immediately before you receive a dispatch confirmation.

How can I track my package?

You’ll receive a confirmation mail with the tracking number once your order is on its way.

What payment method do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, JBC, American Express, Indonesian bank transfers, as well as Go-Pay & Shopeepay. All international credit/debit card payments will be processed via TransferWise. 

How to check my order status?

We’ll send you an e-mail to confirm and update you on your order. Simply DM or E-mail us for more info. 

I forgot to pay and my order has been cancelled, what to do now?

You need to make the payment within 24 hours to finalise your order. After that, it’ll be automatically cancelled from the system and you’ll need to place a new order. Bear in mind that some pieces may become out of stock within that period. 

How can I edit my order?

If you want to add or take out an item from your purchase, e-mail us at with your order number as soon as possible! Please keep in mind that the pieces that are already work-in-progress cannot be taken out of the order.

Who runs UglyBijoux?

UglyBijoux is run and co-owned by two friends Carkultera (@ko__me) and Arya (@aryawirendra). 

UglyBijoux…. what?

Our name is borrowed from English and French and literally translates to “ugly jewellery”. The correct pronunciation is ˈəɡlē,ˈbēZHo͞o, but you can say it however you want. Check out how our friends pronounce UglyBijoux for inspo.
