ARE YOUR PRODUCTS HANDMADE?

Yes, they are! Each of our jewellery pieces is handcrafted to order in our studio in Yogyakarta and Bali, Indonesia. This handcrafted nature will make each piece slightly different from the other.

UglyBijoux pieces are made-to-order to minimise over-production. This also means we’ll need around 3-7 business days to fulfil an order of pieces from the catalogue and 14-21 days for a custom-made jewelry pieces.

WHAT MAKES YOUR PIECES SPECIAL?

We love mixing materials! Anything goes from plastic charms, acrylic beads and pendants, to wonderful freshwater pearls, and more recently, beautiful recycled glass beads.

For us, it’s about incorporating cheap and luxurious materials to create the fun UglyBijoux pieces that you’ll love to wear and love more to show off xixi

CAN YOU REMAKE A LIMITED EDITION PIECE AGAIN?

Unfortunately, due to the limited availability of our materials, once a limited-edition item is sold, it’s sold out.

But anything’s possible in the future, so stay tuned!

SHIPPING & PACKAGING
DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE OF INDONESIA?

Yes, we do!

Flat rate international shipping is USD 25 and all international orders are processed in USD/EUR.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GIFT-WRAP MY PURCHASE?

Your order will come hand-wrapped and packed in one of our giftable pink boxes or our velvet pouches.

You can also drop a handwritten note on your package by adding your message on the order notes at checkout.

DO YOU SHIP DAILY?

All of our orders are picked up by a shipping agent from our studio. In effort to minimise our carbon footprint, we decided to aggregate our shipment pick ups into 2 (two) slots per week: Tuesday & Friday, unless deemed urgent and necessary.

How much is shipping?

We ship from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The shipping costs will be calculated at checkout. 

You can expect to pay around IDR 18k for standard shipping within Java and IDR 30-60k elsewhere.

We charge USD 25 flat rate for international shipping.

Free standard domestic shipping is offered on all orders over IDR 500k and free international shipping on orders above USD 250. 

how long ’till my package arrives?

Your purchase goes from Order in > Processing > Shipping. 

Processing means that your piece is currently being crafted. This takes 3-5 business days for pieces from the catalogue or 14-21 days for custom designs. 

We only ship on Tuesdays and Fridays. 

You choose between two domestic shipping options: Standard or Priority.

  • STANDARD SHIPPING: 3-5 DAYS
  • PRIORITY SHIPPING: 1-3 DAYS

International packages will take around 5-7 business days to arrive after dispatch depending on the destination.

CAN I CHANGE MY DELIVERY ADDRESS?

Please e-mail us at hello@uglybijoux.com immediately before you receive a dispatch confirmation.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY PACKAGE?

You’ll receive a confirmation e-mail with the tracking number once your order is on its way.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGE
MY PIECE ARRIVED BUT THE SIZE isn’t right, WHAT CAN I DO?

You have 7 (seven) days upon receiving your piece to request an exchange. We do not cover shipping costs on exchanges. Please check our Shipping & Return policy or contact us through DM or E-mail for details. 

MY JEWELLERY BREAKS, CAN I RETURN IT?

All of our UglyBijoux sales are final and all purchased pieces are non-refundable. We’d be happy to repair your broken pieces. 

Our products go through rigorous quality control to make sure that they meet our standards.

In the unlikely occurrence that your piece breaks, we offer a complimentary reparation service for up to 1 year after you receive your purchase (a receipt or proof is required) 

Please note that we do not cover shipping fees for this repair service.

BILLING & ORDER QUESTIONS
WHAT PAYMENT METHOD DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept Indonesian bank transfers, Visa credit/debit cards as well as Go-Pay & ShopeePay.

All international credit/debit card payments will be processed via Paypal.

HOW TO CHECK MY ORDER STATUS?

We’ll send you an e-mail to confirm and update you on your order. Simply DM or E-mail us for a more detailed info. 

I FORGOT TO PAY AND MY ORDER GETS CANCELLED, WHAT TO DO NOW?

You need to complete the payment within 24 hours to finalise your order. After that, it’ll be automatically cancelled by the system and you’ll need to place a new order.

Bear in mind that some pieces may become out of stock within that period. 

HOW CAN I EDIT MY ORDER?

If you want to add or take out an item to or from your purchase, e-mail us at hello@uglybijoux.com with your order number as soon as possible.

Keep in mind that the pieces that are already work-in-progress cannot be taken out of the order.

WHO RUN UGLYBIJOUX?

UglyBijoux is run and co-owned by two friends: Carkultera (@ko__me) and Arya (@aryawirendra

UGLYBI…JOUX…. WHAT?

Our brand name is borrowed from English and French which literally translates to “Ugly Jewellery.”

The correct pronunciation is ˈəg-lē, bee-zhoo, but honestly you can say it however you want.

WHERE IS YOUR JEWELLERY MADE?

All of our pieces are handcrafted in Indonesia. Either from our humble atelier in Yogyakarta or by independent artisans in Bali.
